The future of Unix can be found in the development of the 64-bit Unix Operating System. SCO and HP are working on this "Next Generation" of Unix which is targeted for the Intel IA-64 family of processors beginning with the Merced processor.

Our speaker will be discussing features and technical aspects of the new 64-bit Unix Operating System and SCO's Gemini Project which are presently under development. Gemini is the code name for SCO's next major release of Unix (SVR5) which will merge the Unixware SVR4.2 and ODT 5.x platforms.
