Description of Talk:

The Web has brought the ability to get access to information and applications anyplace, anytime. But what about the millions of so-called legacy applications written before HTML, XML, SOAP, portals, etc. were invented? Do they have to be left out of the revolution? Furthermore, what are the issues and solutions surrounding remote access to such applications in general? Can there really be a secure, well-managed virtual office? This talk will examine these trends and describe solutions.

Topics to be discussed:

Tarantella is planning a demo showing wireless application connectivity from a handheld pc to a central server.
